I was looking at a program yesterday that requires you to open a Paydawg account (and only Paydawg) which made me a bit suspicious. You have no access to any information about the program until you do. The trouble is, not only do they ask for your name, address, and phone #, they also require your date of birth and one form of identification: SSN, passport info, or driver's licence. Of course, they say it's a security measure for your own protection but (a) I don't see how that provides any security at all for me and (b) that gives them enough information for identify theft.
Has anybody had any dealings with this payment processor? |
