We need to attract new members that are looking for money making ideas. Looks like we have a good group that has those ideas to share. Now we need something, like the arcade, to attract a more diverse group.

I am very happy with our membership growth and with the way the forum is growing in general. I have added the catagory for testing topics to see how they do. The first one is for articles(which no one has utilized yet). This where I will be adding new ideas to see how they go over(feedback accepted). It is important though not to stretch a forum with alot of unwanted topic boards that never get used. I have found in my travels daily while I am posting- that has been the ruin to many boards. They have alot of topics- but they are empty so the posting totals consist mainly of advertising no actual content. Or advertising sites that offer the standard 3 places to place your ad and thats it. Both of those kind of forums turn into nothing more than spam boards. With people rushing to place their ad that no-one is taking the time to read. That is why I decided to make a board where people might slow down for a minute to connect. As far as the arcade, it is mentioned in all my ads that I do as well as my promoters. You mentioned diverse, to me that is what the web is. Is there a particular group that you feel we shoud be targeting? I am thinking about adding a website design catagory-to help with scripts and such. Still tossing that and several other ideas around in my head. I sure appreciate your feedback it is great to know that there are members who want to see this forum succeed as much as I do.

Your right about the spam boards. I joined a few boards last week and I'm the last one to have posted anywhere other than the classified sections. That probably means that no one is actually reading the ads. I'd hate to see that happen here. I'd suggest polling the members to see what other topics they'd like to see here. If something is really popular, then it could be added. Keep it interesting and you'll continue to attract quality people to your site.

The problem with a poll is that I would be the one coming up with the choices. If someone suggests an idea that sounds good or it matches one that I have been borderline about. I will probably put it in the testing catagory. The important thing is to keep new topics on the boards we have. We have some wonderful members who are great at starting threads- and that is the kind of momentum that will keep the forum building. But, for just being open alittle over a month-we are doing fantastic!

I really do appreciate your efforts. But, our growth rate is great. Most new advertising forums take months to reach the membership level that we have and then most of them don't have near the posting margin that we have. So please take time to just enjoy the site. The rest is coming together nicely. |
