Hi everyone just to start off this topic i would like to get everyones opinions on which is the best Search Engine Submitters.
Naturaly there is Google, Yahoo (MSN) and Ask jeeves which would be some of the top sites to submit to but what i would like to know is the ones where you can Submit to loads at the same time ill give you an example if you were to goto my homepage and at the bottom on the left is the bravenet submit engine that submits your URL to about 10 different search engines at the same time. thats the ones Im interested in :)
Although i would like them to be free to use does anyone think it is worth paying to get their site submitted to various search engines ? |

| Not sure this is what you are looking for but it might help. Go to http://www.searchenginecolossus.com/ and you can submit to directories in several different countries. :) |

This is not so much a search engine submitter, but a listing of sooooo many directories. Can be sort of time consuming to post to them all, but you can search through and find ones that will work for you.

| I was under the impression that submitting your site to search engines is kind of pointless now that they all have robots that go out. Should I be submitting my sites more? They are basically US based sites and I know from logs that I get visited by Google. |

Bulild up your backlinks to your site by submitting to search engines. Just the major ones. Then in time other search engines will pick up on your site. Over-night success does not happen.
Takes a lot of time and patience. If you belong to a few forums, add your website URL into your profile and siggie. Search engines will pick that link up also.
Exchange links with high page rank sites. A great way is to write a article about your site and submitting that to 20 article sites. Or submit to 100.
I'm in the middle of writing 2 articles about my sites and will submit them to article sites. These articles are full of keywords search engines will pick up over time. Both articles are different so both articles will be SEO friendly.
I could name a few other ways i use to generate traffic but posting the links would be scene as advertising in this thread. Search www.google.com (Hint from me, i post on free advertising forums more then i use my other methods) |

Thanks for the tips. I've tried some of them myself. I do have a question about submitting articles. Who do you submit articles to? Do you use a service? I'm currently getting opinions on good places to submit to and I'd value your opinion.
