Boy, do I love living in the Midwest!
Last Thursday, we had 17" snow, blizzard warnings for 3 days and the main interstate that runs east to west across the US, I-80 was closed from Des Moines to Council Bluffs, until Saturday at noon! I don't ever remember the interstate being closed for so long. Semis and cars were just lined up on the interstate waiting for days for it to reopen. We even rescued a stranger down the road who was stuck and he ended up staying the night. That is another story in itself!
To top it all off, 3 days later, Tues 3/13, we had 80 degree weather, melted all the snow, left our yard a muddy mess and today, Thursday, it's snowing again!!!
I really need to buy another dresser to keep both summer and winter clothes out at the same time!!!
Boy, do I love living in the midwest!
