I am looking for new avenues to pursue. You know trying to think outside the box. Needing some help.
Do you give your clients or customers a "Thank You" gift?
If so what type of gift to you give? |

Wow,
I guess there are no one that is into real estate on this board. That is surprising because we have such a mixed group of professionals on here. I guess I will have to check out some more boards.
Thanks |

| The only experience I have in this matter, is in dealing with real estate agents. When we decided to purchase our second home we met "Dave" at an open house. We took an immediate liking to him, and we worked with him in the finding and purchase of our new home. Over the last six years he has always sent us a card for every new season as well as a Christmas card. He also sends us the "At Home" magazine. And if we were ever to decide to sell our other rental house, we would definitely have Dave take care of that for us. So I would have to say that added personal touches are remembered. Buddy |

I'm a realtor in FL and what we do is like Buddy said, send a subscription to some type of Home magazine. It keeps our name constant in their minds so when they do need our services again.

So as a realtor you do not give a welcome to your new home or a thank you gift to your clients.
I was thinking about when I moved into my home for the 1st time and everything was boxed up. It would have been nice to have a gift basket that had things like glasses, maybe a bottle of wine to toast my new home, candles to make it smell good, snack type things to help nurious me, etc.
I know that this would be considered a business expense for the realtor and a very nice thank you to their customer.
Maybe I need to put some small baskets together and show some realtors and get more feedback.
Thanks |

The magazine isn't the gesture that important to us. Dave has just started doing that, years after we did business with him. We think its great that he hand writes several cards throughout the year and mentions personal stuff about our kids or our buying experience. That is why we recommend him to our friends. Because he isn't generic , he is real. Buddy |
