Hi everyone. I am getting so discouraged in trying to promote and build my business. I have been working everyday on free ads and have not had a hit since October. What am I doing wrong? Any input from you will be appreciated. Do you think it is my website? I have been on sites to list for free on search engines and filled out hundreds of questions and still nothing........I can't afford the Pay per click ads yet. Any suggestions as to where else I could go ?

Thanks

Deb P

Have you tried banner exchange programs? Also I know there are programs out there where you add you your site link and then you visit other peoples sites in order for your site to be seen. Even though I haven't heard great results about them. But advertising in alot of forums and banner exchanges are good (the banner exchanges are easy and once you set them up they do the work). The main need is to be seen. So the more exposure the better. As far as your site- I liked it, it started at the beginning and each page took you another step. I am sure others will give you thier insight on this too. Hang in there and don't give up. Your turning point could be just around the corner. Buddy

How do I get a Banner to exchange? As I said in a previous post I am self taught on the computer. Thanks

Look in the banner exchange section here. If you have a place where you can put a banner- then you place someone elses banner there- and then they place one of yours on thier sight. So you are both advertising for each other constantly.

Hi Deb,

A great promotional tool is Viral Marketing. Check out my signature for the free ebook download link.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hi Deb!

Dont give up. I have found that the free stuff never works out well. How about small ads around the internet . A small newsletter ad. A small 3 line ad in the local weekly newspaper. Not real costly.
Getting out and about works well for me also. Talking, asking and sharing the opportunity. Some will. some wont.
There are many people out there just looking for an opportunity.
Your web site is Great!

Wow Buddy, that was a great post!
Another great way to promote is to build a "list" of leads or contacts.
I posted some information on this matter here :http://freeadvertising.forumwise.com/freeadvertising-post-1045.html#1045.
I agree in that what ever you are doing NEVER give up, you very well could be on the edge of success.

Also I recomend at least trying to budget some kind of funds for paid advertising, even if it's only like $20 or $30 dollars per month.

Donald

When I submitted a site to Google Local, I got a $20 Adword credit so we were able to dabble in Adwords without paying anything initally.

Write a report on how to take care of candles and get maximum value from them.

Fill it with handy tips that anyone would be glad to know and hopefuly some they can't get anywhere else. That's what makes it viral.

Add a link to your website so they can buy more candles, but don't advertise blatantly or use ANY pressure.

Send it to me and I will make an ebook out of it and add it to my Ebay Store. It won't cost you a dime for this service, I need more unique content and you need more exposure. This is called a Joint Venture.

I will even add a cover graphic so it looks nice and write the ad.

I just started mine a couple of days ago and have had over 100 hits. All I done was forward the information to everyone in my own personal email list, add it as my signeture (like below). If you have message boards you use, add the link as a signeture link there. I run one for a rock group on yahoo and I even posted the link to the site here to help out with referrals. It also doesn't hurt to go get free business cards from places like vistaprint.com and all you pay is the shipping. You can give it out a parties, parks, business, local offices, leave them in the local bathrooms at quick stop stations, you can even tape them to the door and hang them in little zip loc bags....which is what I'm going to do once my cards actaully get here. If you want, and you get the business cards, pm me and I'll send you an address to send some to me and I'll distribute yours with mine. I live in SE GA so that would give you more business too.

Let me know if this helps or I can be more help to you!

Two really good ways I have found is Safelists, Traffic Exchanges and Forums. Some safelists are better than others while most traffic exchanges are very good for getting exposure to your opportunity.

Another thing too is writing good ads. They should be attention getting and grab your audience.

For the best results I would say buying a Solo Ad with a safelist is a good way to go but can be costly upfront. If you have a good opportunity then you should have good results.

Hi,

Write some articles and post them to article directories
and relevant ezines.

Include a resource box with your website URL.
Try to collect emaill addresses on your site,
so you can contact these people later with offers.

Go offline. Write a short article/press release about
your site with the URL included and try to get it published
in relevant magazines and newspapers.

All this is Free!

Hope it works,

John
